Introduction to traditional slate roofing

About this event

Learn the basics of roofing slates in the post and pre industrial style from leading roofing expert Richard Jordan. This training will introduce you to the methods of splitting, dressing, fixing and replacing traditional slates and how to deal with joints between different roof sections. What you need to bring Personal protective equipment and tools will be provided. Please wear work clothes that you do not mind getting dirty or damaged, and sturdy shoes preferably hard toe capped where possible. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
