A fantastic two day course learning the art of stone carving with expert stone carver Sebastian Rasch

Course description: From Gargoyles loitering on catherdral rooves to ornate garden sculptures, the art of stone carving have been around for a very long time. On this course you will experience the satisfaction of being creative and engaging in the creative process by interacting with the medium of stone. You will learn the basic techniques of stone carving, the tools required and how you use them. By the end of the two days you can expect to have completed a simple sculpture, whether it be a human face, your favourite animal, or something practical like a bowl.

What do you need to know: No prior knowledge or experience is required. This course is ideal for those who have no or very little knowledge of stone carving and want to learn more!

Instructor: Sebastian is an expert stone carver with many years experience in this traditional craft.

What to bring on the day: All materials and equipment provided. You will need to bring appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear and a packed lunch

Times: Start: 10.30 am, Finish 17.00 pm (approximately)
