Free Heritage and Conservation Courses in Burslem

The University of York is working with the Burslem Building Improvement Scheme to provide a series of FREE courses in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent throughout May and June. Courses offer opportunities to gain CPD, learn about craft and gain accreditation. They include:

  • Repair and maintenance of pre-1919 buildings and structures on May 7th and 8th
  • Conservation-led regeneration in Burslem. 2pm on May 12th at the George Hotel, Burslem
  • Using lime in traditional buildings on  May 26th
  • From rock to roof: traditional methods of making and fixing slates on May 29th.
  • Stonemasonry for traditional buildings on June 5th.
  • Repairing historic timber windows on June 8th.
  • Retrofitting traditional and historic buildings on June 9th.
