There is an exciting opportunity for a 12 month placement with a restoration and conservation specialist company  DBR (London) Ltd.  Based at prestigious historic sites in London.

The Placement will be carried out at prestigious heritage site in London where DBR (London) Ltd are contractors carrying out a range of projects on the historic building as required by the client. The Trainee will work under the instruction of an experienced stone Mason/supervisor assisting in conservation, repair and replacement of stonework. The Placement will require security/CRB checks.

DBR specialises in work on historic properties in the London area. It is not envisaged that the trainee will be required to stay away from home (assuming they are resident in London) or travel outside of London.

The placement is run by the National Heritage Training Group bursary scheme, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The scheme is all about finding passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated people to be trained to work on England’s traditional buildings. There will be 30 educational bursaries offered, working on live heritage sites across England. The bursaries are being organised across the country by regional heritage coordinators.
