Watts GalleryThere is a wonderful opportunity to join Specialist Historic Building Conservation contractor Fildes Roofing Ltd. for an 11 month placement, carrying out slating and tiling work and repairs at a range of sites in Sussex and the surrounding area.

The Placement will be carried out at the prestigious heritage sites in Sussex surrounding area where Fildes Roofing Ltd are contractors carrying out a range of projects on the historic buildings as required by the client. The Trainee will work under the instruction of the experienced roofer assisting in new and conservation work. The Placement may require security/CRB checks

Heritage Lottery Fund logoThe placement is run by the National Heritage Training Group bursary scheme, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The scheme is all about finding passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated people to be trained to work on England’s traditional buildings. There will be 30 educational bursaries offered, working on live heritage sites across England. The bursaries are being organised across the country by regional heritage coordinators.
