The Buildings Database contains records of buildings which have been considered to be of sufficient architectural or historic interest to merit a survey by NIEA

Built Heritage at Risk in Northern Ireland

 

SOAR

Southern Organisation for Action in Rural Areas aims to create opportunities to preserve and upgrade Northern Ireland’s rural heritage and to use the natural and built environment as the basis for sustainable economic growth in rural areas.
 

Ulster Architectural Heritage Society

The Ulster Architectural Heritage Society is the lead independent voice for built heritage in Ulster. They have been fighting for the architectural heritage in Northern Ireland, Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan for nearly 50 years. The organisation runs an online Directory of Traditional Skills, offer advice on funding, maintain a Buillt Heritage at Risk register and sell publications about Ulster Architecture.

A 20 day SAP course and 5 or 10 day EWP in the conservation and repair of historic timber framing, carpentry and joinery.

Our EWP is aimed at candidates who already have some to extensive trade experience. During this course they will increase their knowledge and skills in conservation and repair of historic timber framing, carpentry and joinery.
